Moab Condo Rental 8/24/19

As we enter the last week of August it’s still pretty hot in the Moab area.  But autumn is just a few weeks away and that brings quite a bit of relief on the thermometer.  The Moab condo rental is still available for Labor Day weekend.  However, overall the month of September is about two thirds booked as of this writing.

Both September and October are prime times to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.  You can still enjoy nice sunny days and pleasantly warm temperatures without the scorching heat of the summer months.  Also, the crowds tend to be a bit less than what you would encounter in May and June.

The Moab condo rental comes equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday.  You’ll find a good-sized kitchen with all the necessary cookware and small appliances.  Coffee maker, toaster, microwave, 5 burner stove and a large oversized oven in case you’re thinking of roasting a giant turkey.

It looks like the final phase of construction at Rim Village Vistas will be completed in 2020 or 2021.  The remaining units are selling quickly.  If you have any interest in purchasing a condo in the complex please contact me and I will put you in touch with the broker/developer.

One of the great things about the Moab condo rental is the floor plan.  The open and spacious downstairs level contains living, kitchen and dining areas along with the powder room.  You have direct access into the kitchen from the garage which makes unloading groceries very easy.

Upstairs the front half of the condo is where you will find a generously sized master suite with vaulted ceiling.  The sliding glass door leading to the balcony provides a fantastic view of the mountains and red rock scenery.  There are 3 closets in the master suite providing plenty of storage space for all of your clothes and vacation accessories.

Heading down the hall you’ll find the other 2 guest bedrooms.  One has a queen size bed and the other 2 twin beds.  At the far end of the hall is the guest bathroom.  All of the bedrooms have nice views of the mountains and/or red rock scenery.  Come enjoy the Moab vacation rental, you can Click Here to Check Availability.

Moab Vacation Rental Blog

Things are pretty quiet this week at our Moab vacation rental.  Sizzling summer temperatures keep a lid on the crowds during the month of August.  Even if you love to go river rafting the heat in the canyons can be really intense.  While it can feel great jumping in the water, you can still get dehydrated pretty quickly while floating in the raft.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms the next few days.  This means the potential for flash flooding if you are in the canyons.  Otherwise it’s just going to be hot, hot, hot.  Daytime temperatures over 100° with nighttime’s only getting down to the high 60s or low 70s.  This means balmy evenings to enjoy outdoors on the patio at the Moab vacation rental.

The complex where the condo is located is going through his final phase of expansion.  It looks like phase 7 will be completed during the next 24 months.  Sales of new condos have been moving along rather swiftly.  If you’d like to own a condo in Moab get in touch with me and I will connect you to the broker handling the project.

There are a number of different ways to get to the Moab vacation rental.  If you live more than 5 or 6 hours away driving time you may wish to consider flying into either the Moab or Grand Junction airports.  You could rent a car and save yourself a lot of travel time.  It’s less than 2 hours from Grand Junction to Moab.  And the airport is located about 1.5 miles from the interstate on-ramp.

Planes do not operate into Moab all year-round.  It can be too hot in the summer or too cold and icy in the winter.  However during the peak spring and fall seasons there is generally regular service via Denver and / or Salt Lake City.  Flight schedules change each year and it’s possible that other airports might be added with connections to Moab.

Condo In Moab In August

The annual summer monsoon has been making occasional visits to the condo in Moab recently.  Expect thunderstorms on and off the next several afternoons along with daytime temperatures approaching 100°.  This is typical for this time of year.  So, it’s best to get an early start in the morning to make the most of your outdoor activities.

Photographers know that the best light is usually early or late in the day.  With sunrise being at a little bit more reasonable time now, you can capture those morning photos of the brilliant red rocks.  Once the sun moves high in the sky after 9 AM the colors start to wash out a little bit.

Sunset photos are great!  But if we get afternoon thunderstorms you may or may not get dramatic colors.  Mother nature can be very fickle.  While the monsoonal moisture and attendant drop in temperature is a welcome relief from triple digit weather, the dark clouds can mask whar would have otherwise been a brilliant sunset.

We are just entering the start of the Perseid meteor shower which is expected to peak around August 12 or 13.  If you go just South of town away from the ambient light you should be able to get a good view of meteors streaking across the sky.  From the condo in Moab head south on the highway for about 10 minutes to escape the local ambient light.  The best hours to view meteors are between midnight and 4 AM when the sky is the darkest.  Make sure you are dressed warmly as desert night time temps can drop significantly, especially under clear skies.

Bookings for the condo in Moab are looking good in September with only a handful of openings.  Labor Day weekend is still available so you may wish to click the link at the start of this paragraph if you’re interested in booking the condo in Moab for those dates.
